What's he got to do with the Secret Theatres festival?

Darshan is one of the soloists in the duet newly choreographed by Richard Alston to Birtwistle's piece 'Nenia: the Death of Orpheus'. The piece is about Orpheus losing Euridice when he turns to look at her, and more generally about losing someone that you love. Darshan dances Orpheus in this production and as a dancer, has a very particular insight to Birtwistle's music. The piece is yet another examination of the Orpheus myth by Birtwistle, and is part of very evocative programming to conclude the festival.
