Sending us your competition entries by FTP

You will need some FTP client software to send us your work. If you do not have any you can easily download a shareware package, such as Fetch for the Mac.

Firstly, file formats. If you have a copy of Life Forms that saves files please send those, however the downloadable version will not allow you to save files in that way. You can send in files as Quicktime movies, or PICS or GIF files. Please try and keep sizes as low as possible, as much for your phone bills as anything else. Using Cinepak compression can keep movie file sizes low.

Name your file so that we can trace it to you, and send us an email with the filename and your personal details.

Log into illumin.co.uk, set your log-in name to 'anonymous' and for the password use your email address. Then upload files to the 'incoming' directory.

Once the file is up you (or anyone else) won't be able to see it, so don't worry, it will have arrived, and please don't send multiple copies.
