The György Ligeti website
This unusual site makes use of the Shockwave plugin to deliver an interactive exploration of Ligeti's music. Initially created for 14 - 16 year olds and their teachers, the site is great fun for anyone who cares to look.
Navigation around the site is via a spider web, and contains interactive metronomes on stage for exploring cross-rhythms, and specially recorded extracts of Omar Ibrahim singing Aventureand Nouvelle Aventureto demonstrate Ligeti's obsession with phonetics.
