3D White Tower movie at the Tower of London

In 1997 Illuminations Interactive was invited to produce a new AV installation as part of the major refit of the White Tower - the oldest part of the Tower of London. Working in collaboration with xxxxx - world renowned historian and expert on the White Tower, Terry Braun designed and produced a time sensitive 3D walk through, revealing architectural additions and reconstructions of period interior decoration. The life-like quality of the movie was created using high powered rendering equipment and attention to detail, in particular light, shadows, texture and other ambience generators such as a lit fire.

The work shows how the fabric of the building of the Tower has changed since the north bank of the Thames was first used as a fortress.
