Waves
Work continues on creating Antarctic Waves. Teachers are given the

Antarctic
Waves
November saw the first public versions of the Albatross, All-sky and
Glacier interactive areas.
Living Rooms
Braunarts started work on
Living Rooms. Living
Rooms is a Braunarts/Britten Sinfonia collaboration to create
a music/archeology performance work to be shown in Cambridge and
Chelmsford in April/May 2002.
OCTOBER
2001

BAFTA Interactive Arts nominations announced on the
BAFTA website.
Body/Machine,
27-28 October
A conference on the body/technology interface. Terry gave the Keynote
Presentation at this Toronto conference, discussing the Braunarts
'JavaDance' production.
One Small Step
Braunarts created an enhanced CD for Huddersfield Contemporary Music
Festival - an introduction to the range of music available in the
festival.
SEPTEMBER
2001
Antarctic
Waves
Work continues on creating Antarctic Waves. Current work includes an
all-sky image interactive area, surfing through a glacier and editing
the Sir Peter Maxwell Davies video interview.
AUGUST
2001
Javadance
Braunarts begin the processes of 3D scanning of the 8th century dance
cast and motion capture on Indonesian dancer Mugiyono, to begin
bringing part of the temple dance ritual back to life.

Company and dancers from the Royal Ballet including Deborah
Bull.
3 Reflections is shown in the interval
of the live relay of the Royal Ballet dancing
Swan Lake
from the Royal Opera House. Audiences in the Covent Garden Piazza in
London can view the first ever full-length ballet to be relayed live
from 7.30pm. Tickets are not required and the performnce is free of
charge.
JUNE

Talking Architecture and the Arts
Wednesday 27 June 2001 7.15pm
Terry Braun chaired the talk at the Royal Opera House with speakers
Jeremy Dixon, Deborah Bull and Michael Berkley. They talked about the
relationship between architecture and dance, discussing how the Royal
Opera House has been redesigned to accommodate dance and how more
generally dance and architecture interact.
Arts & New Technology: Inspiration
& Innovation

Terry Braun was the key speaker at Conference 2001 for the Local
Government Arts Forum. The conference theme of arts and new technology
was adressed by Terry, looking particularly from a national and
international perspective.

The Pilgrim Trust Conservation Awards 2001
May 29th 2001 - The British Library, London
Braunarts created the media presentations for this glittering award
ceremony, which was hosted by Lloyd Grossman and managed and produced
by Re:source, The Council for Museums, Archives and Libraries in
association with The Pilgrim trust.
Antarctic
Waves
May 6th 2001 - London.
The premiere of the Antarctic Symphony (Symphony No.8) by Sir Peter
Maxwell Davies takes place at the Royal Festival Hall in London, and
Braunarts launches its new production Antarctic Waves, with its
collaborators, British Antarctic Survey and the Philharmonia Orchestra
at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London. Antarctic Waves is funded by
NESTA.
APRIL

Duo:logue
Braunarts is creating a video of Duo:logue by Wayne MacGregor with
Random Dance Company and
dancers from the Royal Ballet including Deborah Bull, for projection on
the big screen outside at the Royal Opera House on July 30th 2001.
London Museums Agency
4th Aril 2001 - The new flagship website created by Braunarts for the
London Museums Agency goes live.
MARCH 2001
Theatre
2001
March saw the first coming together of the three theatre tribes of the
TMA, ITC & SOLT (Theatrical Management Association, the
Independent Theatre Council,the Society of London Theatre ). Terry
Braun presented as part of a panel
presentation/discussion entitled: 'Making the Difference - Artists with
new perspectives'.

Braunarts trials the new flagship website for the London Museums Agency
in preparation for its April launch at the National Portrait Gallery.

Firebird Interactive
January sees the finish of the Firebird Interactive production - an
online exploration of this extraordinary ballet Suite by Stravinsky
commissioned by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
