BAFTA
On October 26 2000, the interactive entertainment industry will gather at the Royal Lancaster Hotel to celebrate the Interactive Entertainment Awards. This years awards will be hosted by Phil Jupitus and will showcase some of the most innovative and entertaining media including CD's, DVD's, WAP, web, games and installations.
The nine new categories which have been added this year to the Interactive Entertainment Awards are:
  • Interactive Arts
  • Enhancement of Linear Media
  • On-Line Learning
  • Lifestyle & Leisure Sports
  • Games - Mobile and Networked
  • Games - PC
  • Games - Console
  • Music
  • Technical Innovation
The Interactive Arts award is being judged by a jury which is chaired by Terry Braun. Terry was elected onto the BAFTA Interactive Entertainment Committee in January 2000 and was a strong advocate for the creation of the Interactive Arts category.
